Characteristics

The motor point finder pen allows you to precisely locate the motor point of the muscle group or groups to be stimulated. The positive electrode must be connected precisely to the motor point of the muscle. Motor points correspond to a specific area in which the motor nerve is most sensitive. Although the exact location of the different motor points is well known today, there may still be variations, even of a few centimeters, between one subject and another.

The motor point finder pencil allows you to determine with great accuracy the exact location of the motor points for each person and thus guarantee the optimal effectiveness of the electrostimulation programs.

Utilization

Place the electrode with connection to the negative output (black) on the muscle as indicated and connect the cable to the gently placed patch, thus we then proceed to search for the motor point with the positive output of the same cable (red) with the help of the point finder pencil. . The positive connector (red) must be connected to the end of the motor point finder pen, it can be used with either a normal output cable, a banana type or with the easy snap output cables.

The tip of the pencil is used to establish contact with the skin. In the place where we must look for the position of the patch with a positive connection (red), we will put gel, move the pencil until we find a muscular response (a movement of the muscle in the form of a "shaking"/contraction), we will briefly go over the area with the pencil until Find the point with the best muscle response. Disconnect the positive output of the pencil and connect it to the electrode that we just placed where we found the motor point.

The search for the application point of the patch with positive connection must be carried out with a low-frequency electrostimulation program, so the ideal positioning point of the positive electrode (motor point) can be precisely located. Its positioning is an important factor for the effectiveness of the treatment.

During the search for the motor point, the energy must be progressively increased, manually moving the point of the pencil over the conductive gel, without interrupting contact with the skin. A power of between 5-15 is usually enough to locate the motor point.

It is recommended to use the point finder pen before any muscle electrostimulation session. Once practice is acquired, the motor points can be easily found again.
